Many things have changed since we celebrated Pueblo Grande Museum’s 90th Anniversary at the Moonlight Over the Mound Gala last year. The lasting and profound connections people have with this sacred place remain the same and successfully stands the test of time. Whether we approach a historic sites like this with reverence or contemplation, walking the same grounds which people throughout the centuries have traveled, provides an experience of enrichment that will last a lifetime. The dedicated staff at the museum work tirelessly every day to preserve the site and artifacts, preparing for the visits from people worldwide. When the time comes that Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeology Park can opens the doors once again to the public, everyone can be assured that visitors of all ages will have an exciting, fun, and safe experience.
The COVID crisis has created a challenging situation for all arts and culture organizations, including the Museum. The Friends of Pueblo Grande Museum continues to work to provide support for the educational activities, exhibitions and programs the Museum offers, including helping to transition into virtual programming this year.
